Andrew Rees was born in Carmarthen‚ West Wales. He studied at the Royal Northern College of Music‚ Manchester‚ and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama‚ London. He was a member of the Jerwood Young Singers Programme at English National Opera and a company principal tenor for ENO between 2004 and 2006.
