Lynne Hockney trained at the Royal Ballet School. Her choreographic career has encompassed opera‚ theatre‚ film and television‚ largely in the UK and USA‚ working with directors as diverse as James Cameron‚ Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sir Peter Hall. Her work has been seen at repertory theatres throughout the UK and USA and her extensive list of film credits include The Village‚ Titanic‚ True Lies‚ Town & Country‚ Wild‚ Wild West‚ and Rocky & Bullwinkle.
Recent operatic engagements include A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Otello at Glyndebourne and in Chicago‚ La Traviata for Scottish Opera‚ Jakobin and Allessandro Stradelli at the Wexford Festival‚ Cav and Pag with Martin Duncan for Raymond Gubbay at the Royal Albert Hall‚ Manon Lescaut and Manon at Opera North with Daniel Slater‚ Slater’s Manon Lescaut at Norske Opera‚ Peter Grimes in Graz‚ Cav and Pag in Dallas‚ Don Quichotte in Innsbruck and Die Zauberflöte with Opera Zuid‚ all with Stephen Lawless‚ Dido and Aeneas in Chicago‚ Pirates of Penzance at Glimmerglass and at New York City Opera with Lilian Groag‚ Eugene Onegin in Lyon with Peter Stein‚ Semele and Cav and Pag at New York City Opera‚ Cav and Pag in Palm Beach and Slater’s Manon Lescaut in Oviedo.
